Occupational Therapy
Certified hand therapists work in conjunction with CORE Orthopaedic’s Physical Therapy staff in order to provide patients with the optimal level of care. Occupational (Hand) Therapy services are provided on-site for patients with upper extremity orthopaedic conditions, including:
- post-surgical procedures
- traumatic injuries
- fractures
- arthritis
- sports injuries
- nerve and tendon disorders
- repetitive motion injuries
- and the fabrication of custom splints
Our Occupational Therapy Department strives to help patients to regain the functional use of the hands, to resume their prior lifestyle and occupation. Our Occupational Therapists have over 15 years of experience as certified hand therapists.
Meet Our Occupational Therapists
Robin Dushkin, OTR/L, CHT, has over 20 years experience as an Occupational Therapist. She received her Certified Hand Therapist Certification in 1991. Her areas of expertise include hand therapy (evaluation and treatment), splinting, and work hardening.
Stephanie Bloom, OTR/L, CHT, has been practicing hand therapy since 1987 and has extensive experience in complicated splinting and fracture bracing. She is knowledgeable in trauma, reconstructive surgery, pediatrics, and soft tissue problems. She has been a certified hand therapist since 1990. She has extensive experience and training in joint mobilization and neutral mobilization.
