Occupational (Hand) Therapy services are provided on site for patients with upper extremity orthopaedic conditions. This specialty includes treatment of post surgical procedures, traumatic injuries, fractures, arthritis, nerve and tendon disorders, repetitive motion, sports injuries, and fabrication of custom splints. Certified hand therapists work in conjunction with physical therapy staff to provide the optimal level of care utilizing a team approach.
Our Occupational Therapy Department strives to help patients regain the functional use of their hands to resume prior lifestyle and occupation. Therapy is provided by occupational therapists with over ten years of experience as certified hand therapist.
Occupational Therapists
- Robin Dushkin, OTR-L, CHT, has over 20 years experience as an occupational therapist. She received her Certified Hand Therapist certification in 1991. Her areas of expertise include hand therapy (treatment and evaluation), splinting, and work hardening.
- Stephanie Bloom, OTR/L, CHT, has been practicing hand therapy since 1987 and has extensive experience in complicated splinting and fracture bracing. She is knowledgeable in trauma, reconstructive surgery, pediatrics and soft tissue problems. She has been a certified hand therapist since 1990. She has extensive experience and training in joint mobilization and neural mobilization.
