Fellowship Trained Total Joint Specialist Joins CORE Orthopaedic Medical Center, P.C.

 

Encinitas, CA - August 15, 2005 - The physicians and staff at CORE Orthopaedic Medical Center, P.C. is proud to welcome Lex A. Simpson, M.D. to our practice.  Dr. Simpson specializes in total joint replacement and is fellowship trained in both Adult Reconstructive Surgery and Sports Medicine.  He joins us from the Cleveland Clinic Florida where he served as chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. 

 

Dr. Simpson earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, and advanced his training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa.  Dr. Simpson was the former team physician for the University of Nevada and the NHL Florida Panthers.

 

CORE Orthopaedic Medical Center has recently opened a new 22,000 square-foot facility that is located on the Scripps Encinitas Hospital campus. Our facility has a broad range of services including digital imaging, physical therapy, operative and non-operative treatment alternatives, and clinical research.

 

CORE Orthopaedic Medical Center currently provides general orthopaedic care and specialty treatment of the hand, spine, sports medicine, total joint replacement, podiatry and physiatry.
